The event went off pretty smooth. Hikaru came through before the crowds came but watched the rest of the event from his computer at home from the live feed XL was streaming. I’m no stranger to painting in front of an audience, but never before was the audience so close and watching my every stroke (talk about pressure). Everybody seemed as much into the painting as myself. The entire room came to attention when Danny Boy entered the spot. DBoy was a real trooper, he didn’t even lose it when Amaury dropped his Leica camera down the stairs! I finished the painting in good time because I finished 99% the night b4. I spent the last hour signing posters and other things people brought. 2 people even brought canvases for me to hit! Thanx to everyone who came out for the night and especially to the XL staff that helped out so much. Shin san took us all out for Yakitori after the event where Amaury proceeded to drop 2 sets of chopstix.
